Government Arts, Commerce and Science College, Limbayat
Established in 2022, Government Arts, Commerce and Science College, Limbayat, Surat, is a government institution dedicated to providing inclusive, multidisciplinary, and quality higher education. Affiliated with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and functioning under the Commissionerate of Higher Education, Government of Gujarat, the college serves as a vital academic centre for students from diverse backgrounds in one of Surat’s rapidly developing urban regions.
Since its inception, the college has emphasized not only academic excellence but also the all-round development of its students. It actively participates in and promotes various academic and co-curricular initiatives such as Saptdhara, fostering cultural and creative talents; UDISHA, offering career guidance and placement support; and SSIP (Student Startup and Innovation Policy), nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among students. The institution has also established an Entrepreneurship Development Cell and an Innovation Cell to provide a strong platform for budding entrepreneurs and creative thinkers.
To encourage a research-driven mindset, the college hosts a Research Centre, promoting scholarly activities among faculty and students. Upholding its commitment to quality education and administration, the college proudly holds an ISO 9001:2015 certification for Quality Management Systems.
A highlight of the college calendar is UDAN, the vibrant annual fest that has quickly become an iconic event and symbol of the college’s youthful spirit and unity. Celebrated with great enthusiasm, UDAN brings together students, faculty, and the local community through cultural performances, competitions, exhibitions, and more, fostering a strong sense of identity and pride.
